Meet Shadow & Ozzy

Shadow and Ozzy are two timber wolves who came to National Tiger Sanctuary after their previous owner could no longer care for them. Shadow arrived around 2022, and Ozzy joined the sanctuary family in 2024.

While they arrived at different times, they quickly formed a close bond. These two can often be found staying near one another and sharing the quiet companionship that has made them such a special pair.

Reserved but Playful

Both wolves tend to be relatively shy around people and generally prefer to observe from a comfortable distance. Their calm personalities make them fascinating to watch as they interact with one another.

Ozzy occasionally shows a more playful side and enjoys engaging with staff, often trying to get someone to chase after him during his energetic moments.

A Voice That Carries

One of the most memorable things about Shadow and Ozzy is their howling. Staff and visitors can often hear them vocalizing together, especially when a siren passes along the nearby highway.

Their calls echo across the sanctuary and serve as a reminder of the natural behaviors that make wolves such remarkable animals.
