Loki

One of the sanctuary's mountain lion boys

Loki the mountain lion at National Tiger Sanctuary

Meet Loki

Loki is often described as the sassiest of National Tiger Sanctuary's three mountain lion boys. He lives next door to Raffiel and his sisters and is never shy about making his opinions known.

Although he has a bold personality, Loki is actually the shyest of the three mountain lions and prefers to choose when he wants to interact with people.

A Quiet Observer

While Loki tends to be more reserved than his mountain lion companions, guests and staff are often delighted when he decides to come out and greet them during the day.

His combination of confidence and caution gives him a personality that is uniquely his own.

Listen for Loki

One of the easiest ways to know Loki and the other mountain lion boys are nearby is by their distinctive chirps, calls, and vocalizations. Their sounds are often very different from what many people expect from a large cat.
