Dakar

Meet Dakar

Dakar came from the same facility as Carma and is one of the sanctuary's two male white tigers. He is known for his playful personality and for always finding ways to keep life interesting around the sanctuary.

He is especially protective of his neighbors, Amal and Rani, and keeps a close eye on those around him.

The Prankster

Dakar is a bit of a prankster and enjoys trying to scare staff members, especially new employees. His playful antics and mischievous personality have made him well known among the people who care for him every day.

Even when he is being dramatic, Dakar's curious nature and playful spirit are impossible to miss.

Brothers and Neighbors

Dakar lives next door to his brother, Bashir. Staff often find the two boys communicating with one another throughout the day, maintaining the close bond they have shared for years.

Whether he is checking on Bashir or watching over Amal and Rani, Dakar always seems aware of what is happening around him.

White Tiger Facts

White tigers are distinctive for their white coats, light brown stripes, and blue eyes. Although many photographs make the stripes appear black, white tigers naturally have brown stripes that are often edited or airbrushed to look darker.
