Meet Truman & Lily
Truman and Lily are a bonded pair of Siberian tigers who arrived at National Tiger Sanctuary from a private owner in Illinois around 2023. Since joining the sanctuary family, they have become two of our most recognizable residents thanks to their playful personalities and incredible connection with one another.
While every tiger is unique, Truman and Lily are rarely found far apart. Whether they are exploring their habitat, relaxing in the sunshine, or spending time together during cooler weather, their bond is easy for visitors to see.
The Sanctuary's Lovebirds
Truman and Lily have earned a special nickname around the sanctuary: our resident lovebirds. Truman is known for being especially affectionate toward Lily, often cuddling close and showering her with attention. Lily enjoys playing with Truman and is frequently seen right by his side.
Their relationship has made them favorites among guests and staff alike, offering a wonderful glimpse into the social side of these magnificent animals.
Young, Playful, and Full of Personality
Truman and Lily are among the younger residents at National Tiger Sanctuary and bring plenty of energy to their habitat. During the winter months, while many of our cats prefer to stay cozy indoors, these two often choose to spend time outside together enjoying the cooler weather.
Whether they are playing, exploring, or simply relaxing side by side, Truman and Lily continue to delight visitors with their personalities and their unmistakable bond.
